Comprehensive Islamic education covering essential knowledge areas
Usus Academy is an Islamic education institute which aims to teach every Muslim the required knowledge they need to live by the core teachings of Islam in the West.
"Usus" (أُسُس) is an Arabic word which means "foundations". We named our academy as such to symbolize what we teach; the foundations required to make a Muslim grounded in their religion.
Each course runs for one full weekend from Friday evening until Sunday evening. Exact dates for each course is specified in each course's details.
Not yet, but we plan to offer both in-person and online learning options to accommodate students and to give permanent access to recorded sessions to enrolled students.
Every Muslim who has an interest and is committed to learn their faith is welcome to attend our courses. Whether you're born Muslim or recently reverted to Islam, you will benefit from our courses.
All our courses cover topics required by a Muslim to know in today's world, so we recommend that you attend all courses to build a strong Islamic foundation for yourself. However, as we know people may not be able to commit to attending all courses, we design our programs to be standalone courses unless stated otherwise.
In short, no. However, we do recommend it as a lot of thought has been put into ordering our courses in an adequate order.
Yes, students who successfully complete a course will receive a certificate of completion.
Talk to us! Usus Academy is a non-profit organization. While we do have our expenses, making money is not our goal. If you're serious about knowing your religion but don't have the funds, we can work it out in sha Allah.
